My friend has very similar hair, and she wears hers short coming to just below her ears but cut straight across.

Shoulder length or longer. DON'T CUT LAYERS into it, even though people recommend it. It just looks fuzzy. You want it longer and all one length, that way it'll be weighed down. And you have to use a lot of product. I use a shine serum, a curl enhancer, joico ice whip mousse, root lifter, and hair spray. A blow dryer with a diffuser is a must, and don't touch your hair! You can tousle it a little, but touching it will make it turn into a huge frizz ball.

When I was in grade school, I had very long thick, curly, frizzy hair. And It was really hot during the summer, so she let me pick the cut. (Mind you i was in 2-3 grade)... I chose a boy cut...

It took me 10 years to grow my hair back out. It took a good.. 2 years to get my hair out of the akward stage to where it could be cut so it was all one length.

A tip to keep split ends to a min. get your hair trimmed every 2-3 months depending on how fast your hair grows. I just chopped off 6 inches of dead hair.. split ends...it was ok though...my hair was all the way down my back. it's half way now..

Don't blow dry your hair and if you have to use a defuser. I don't even brush my hair. Only right before i take a shower to pull out all the loose hair.

It's alittle more expensive but switching to a salon grade shampoo and conditioner can help alot. And with a good product and use.. you won't have to condition your hair with every wash.

You could also try to find a leave in conditioner that also helps with frizzyness.

and if you like to straighten your hair, i suggest getting one with ceramic plates that also has a temp guage. You can get a good for between $20-$35.

use thermasilk conditioner ans shampoo. after you wash ur hair, towel dry and then put Aussie 3-minute-miracle in ur hair and wait for your hair to dry or pretty-much dry before you go in the sun, your hair wont be fizzy OR big!! It probably works more for me cuz if done this for about 3 weeks and it's already working it's stuff. TRY THIS. also-- all of the things i've named each cost less than $3.50
