Alright im a guy and i have naturally curly hair, and i use sunsilk shampoo and conditioner, ive tried using a flat iron, but it didnt work. i was also thinking about chemically straightening my hair, could i have peoples opinions on this cause i hear it can fry your hair, how long does it last. once again im a guy so my hair is only semi-long its also thick. Any suggestions would be great

use a straightener and you heat protection hair products if your hair is sensitive to heat

chemically straightening it is the only way, just dont leave it on to long otherwise it will fry your hair.

okay well my guy friend, in order to straighten his hair, after he gets out of the shower, puts a hat on...like a baseball hat and it flattens t out a lot. he has a lot of thick curly hair and it works well for him

Hey I have naturally curly hair also...What a bummer! i have struggled with good hair styles for many years...I went the straightening route(professionally done, my only suggestion). it was kinda cool, it was very straight for about 6 months..But I suggest a contemporary hair stylist that can give you current hair style for your hair. Stick with the PRO's on this I'm older now and just keep it short..(boring) But we are fortunate in a way that we never have to get a perm or worry for body in our hair.. but shop around and get a top notch hair stylist, it will pay off..

In the military , nobody had curly hair because everyone cut their hair short.

The best thing to do is get your haircut down to 1/2 inch length on top and just get a haircut every 2 months minimum.

Not to mention, girls like guys with short hair.

yea you could chemically straighten your hair so it will stay straighter longer. Idk what would be a good brand to try because I dont know your hair type or anything. Maybe go to a salon and ask about the process. Most chemical straighteners are permenent so you would have to grow out your hair to get rid of it...or cut it. But if you do get it done, get it done by a professional. Good luck.
