Products to keep mixed african hair curly?

I'm black and I want to wear my hair natural, I don't mean locs or anything like that- (looks good on some, but not for me lol). My gram was part native american, so my hair can easlily curl. Here's what I want:

Style my hair curly- it looks great when it's wet but when it dries thats another story. I heard aloe-vera is great for styling curly black hair. true?

Description of my hair:

very, very, very soft- i cant use yaky silky straight cuz my hair slips out/ braids dont last that long cuz my hair slips out.

after washing my hair it's curly when wet,

once i blow-dry my hair, it looks just like ANY other black girls hair lol.

anybody with my type of hair know any good products?

any advice, especially from black ladies (products may not have the same effect on my hair as other nationalities) is much appreciated!

I think i have the exact same hair as you, when my hair dries it goes mental. Im pakistani and black.

I use Blue Magic, you should be able to get it at cvs, stop and shop. When you wash your hair make sure you use conditioner and comb your hair through and rinse. Then dont comb/brish your hair after that, if you do it will seperate the curls and cause frizz. Just put a bit of the blue magic on and it should be ok, this works on my hair.

I have the same exact hair!! OMG!! LoL... I am PuertoRican and Black- a little more black but i still was blessed with the light skin and soft, curly hair. When i wash my hair after it's curly- I use Redken Fresh Curl products which gives my hair volume and keeps it soft but in place!! Try it!!
