Does Sleeping In Rollers Leave Your Hair Curly?

My hair is very long. If I slept in rollers for 8 hours, would my hair come out curly the next day? Would the curls stay in and be defined all day long?

I did this for picture day once. And yes, the curlers helped my hair stay very curly all day. Everyone LOVED my hair! But I must say, it was quite uncomfortable.:(

Yes and yes. It is better on your hair (and cheaper) to use rollers than a curling iron. It also stays better.

Big rollers probably not. You'd have to use those really small tight rollers. I have really long super straight hair and I did this once. My hair did not stay curly for the entire day but then again maybe I didn't put the proper product on to keep it curly all day long.

I would say try it once and make sure you spray it while rolling your hair.

Yes, so long as you don't put in the rollers while your hair is soaking wet %26amp; you don't overload the rollers so the hair has enough time to dry completely.

Frankly, it's a pain in the neck - literally. Plus, sometimes the rollers would get pushed an tear my hair. I hated sleeping w/ rollers.

Consider hot rollers instead.

Yes. It also helps if you spray some hair spray on them.

yes! they last much longer then using a curling iron- just make sure that you roll then and don't leave the ends pinched or you will have a kink at the end instead of a curl! I do mine that way and the curls last all day! Throw a little conditioner on before you roll if your prone to frizzies, or mousse if your hair is prone not holding a curl.

Rolling in one straight roll with give you LOTS of wave- rolling in a long spiral will give you- SPIRALS! LOL

Have fun with it!

Yup, it will def. turn out curly. But soon as you take your curlers out, spray it with hairspray so you can have nice plump curls the WHOLE day.

I used the small, tight rollers for picture day and it was uncomfortable at night but it did curl my hair and it's cheaper and takes less time. But make sure to add hairspray to hold hair all day and to control frizz. Good Luck :]

It depends on how slippery your hair is. Goody makes small cloth covered wire %26amp; foam rollers that will probably work for you. I use them sometimes and they work great, but I have a bit of natural wave in my hair.

I use them on my friends daughter and it last only half the day because her hair is so straight %26amp; doesn't hold curl.

Everyone's hair is different. You will just have to try them and see how your hair does with them.

The following is a link to show you what they look like. I think I purchased mine at Target.

yep...it will effect even for just a few hours and even more effective if you leave it for loooong hours.. it's not permanent though..but if you're after the result for a day it may be a good choice rather than have it curled in the salon...

yes it works greatttt. if you add some mousse afterwards it'll be perfect. and hairspray, too, although i'm not too fond of its stickiness. best used when your hair is almost dry (still a bit damp) and be sure to roll it in tightly. i know because my hair was very long (a little past my hips) until i decided to cut it up to my shoulders =/ the downside is that it's kinda hard to sleep w/ rollers; it's so uncomfortable! yet i still do it.

Yes, roll your hair while damp (not soaking). And maybe

spray on holding spray in the morning before unrolling.

You can also use setting lotion to roll your hair.
