I know, I know, you're only supposed to wash your hair every 2-3 days. But if you wear your hair curly, with hair gel, what on earth are you supposed to do with it on the 2nd and 3rd day??

You can just wet it a bit and scrunch it. You can also use a hair powder like the one from Bumble and Bumble. It's on their website under products, styling, specialty and hair powders.

for me, i have really curly hair, i wash it everyday. and i curl it most of the time.. gel makes ur hair really gross looking after a while. use mousse. its a lot better and u dont have to wash ur hair everyday

i wear my hair curly too. i try to stay away from gel all together for that exact reason. It makes my hair hard and i feel like i need to wash it out right away. what i do is, after i do shower, i towel dry my hair, to tousel it a little bit and make it a little messy, then i put in a hair serum made for curly hair (i use pantene), that will help your hair to not get frizzy, and it will make it shiny too. then i also put in a mouse or a spray gel for curly hair. these are more lightweight so your hair wont be as heavy and will also keep yoru hair soft so it's always okay to add more the next day if youre going to wear it again.

also, sometimes ill wear it curly one day, and then use the flat iron to straighten it the next.

or, another easy way to curl your hair is after your shower, pile all of your hair ont he top of your head while its still wet and put it in a bun. then add whatever product you use to it, let your hair air-dry like that (probably better to do it at night and sleep with it like that) and then when its dry, take the bun out and your hair will be curly!

I have naturally curly hair. If I want it to look half decent then I have to wash it everyday. When I get up in the morning, I look like a big fluff ball. When I strighten it, then I won't wash it for a couple of days, but I can't go much longer than that before it starts to get too greasy.

If you permed it--- try not to wash it every day unless it is with a special shampoo. Some shampoo's will say on the bottle "gentle enough for daily use." Look for one of those and use it after you have worn your hair with gel. You might also try a weekly clarifying shampoo which de-gunks your hair from the gel.

Another thing--- try to use a curling serum if your hair is just naturally curly. Try John Freida--- it works quite nicely.
